It's possible to claim a different Christ than the Jesus talked about in the bible. They don't agree with his origins, what He did, or what He said, so to me they made up a Jesus to fit their religion.

Assuming you leave out of account the Gospels that didn't make the cut and get into the Bible, then what you are left with are the four Gospels in your holy book, the same four Gospels that Catholics and Protestants read. Those four books are all there is of what Jesus allegedly said and did. So yeah . . . Catholics believe a lot of the same bullshit you do: virgin birth, various miracles, resurrection, etc. Like I said: intra-family squabble.

And don't forget that while you claim they aren't "true" Christians, from their vantage point, you're just a heretic.

They agree that the bible is the word of God, but they also believe in the tradition of the church, and it directly contradicts what is taught in the bible a lot of the time. They can say they are Christians all they want, but what they practice says otherwise. They have a different set of beliefs that distinguishes them from other Christians and it is worth noting. using the words interchangeably is not wise and it creates confusion.

Did you actually look up at least some of the historical facts on the SS? As I said when this thread started. The official position of the SS was "Gottgläubig", which losely translates to Deist. Leaving the churches was actively encouraged by Himmler.

That's why the Nazis were christian is bullshit on the same level as calling them atheist. The organisations were neither. The leading figures were all across the board. Ranging from christian, over deist to atheist. It's complete and utter garbage to pick out one fact and think to have it all figured out.

No you don't, you have the asshole. We have had literally hundreds of discussions for the basis of secular morality, as is being repeatedly pointed out to you, including ones in which I have seen you participate.

You have also watched us explain that we consider your Bible immoral because of its divine justification for genocide.

Between those two facts, if you still are going to pretend we have no basis to object to Hitler, you're either incapable of retaining information you read (in which case why should we respond to you now?), you're deliberately trolling us for harassment (in which case why should we respond to you now?), or you're so bigoted against atheists that you'd just ignore whatever we said in favor of what you claim to already think (in which case why should we respond to you now?).

I looked up the information above for a report I did when I attended Gordon Mork's "Hitler and the Holocaust" at Purdue.  I stand by what I said.
