I'm Darwinian, or at least I was until I changed my name. I was admin on here from the very first day and then for the next five years or so.

How about Comic Con on Oct the 25th at the London Excel? It's just that I'm already going, along with Downbeatplumb, so that would be mega easy for me

I've never been but I've got the feeling one of my friends goes there. I'm sure I've heard that name before. What is it? I've been to some Star Trek conventions with this friend, is it something like that? If it is the same, he'll probably already be going, so that would make it convenient for me too cos I could go with him.

It's a mega nerdy place where we all go dressed up as sci-fi or fantasy (or whatever) characters and take pictures of each other. There are also loads of events, stalls, famous faces etc. It's quite a blast.
Last time I went as the Fourth Doctor..

Right, got yer. 99% sure my friend will be there  He's a major Trekkie and Dr Whooey (and I'm just a minor Trekkie and Dr Whooey). I've been to a few conventions with him and dressed up as Odo, a normal Starfleet officer, and in drag as a Trekette. All for charity and all using his costumes (except the last one). I'll have to ask him if he's going but if he is and if everyone would like to do that, I'd be up for it.

Well, I was just saying that I was going anyway. And it would be a pretty cool place to meet up, but yes, not everyone is quite nerdy enough to appreciate that kind of event.
