Eh, I don't care about it much anymore, most around here are just mild catholics and they keep to themselves. Funny how this stuff happens alot across the pond.

Because it would tell me (if I were an American): "This courthouse/city hall is not for you. You are a second class citizen (at best)"

I don't think that's what the intention is.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

That's a cool demon statue! I want one.

I assume it's the wrong 10 commandments, as usual?

If someone hits me in the face with a well-aimed blow and then tells me that there was no intention to hurt me, that helps precious little to ameliorate the situation Smile

They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions... But I don't believe in hell, so the thing is rather moot.

Lol. Well, punching someone in the face is inherently offensive. You may be offended by someone else's symbol of morality, but a symbol is not an offensive thing in and of itself if its meaning can be different for different people. So it is definitely possible for someone to not mean "you don't belong here and you are second class" by putting up the 10 commandments.

So have you aske the satanists what their symbol means? Maybe there are a few that don't mean to scare you.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

C_L, what else could it possibly mean if you put the religious code that people are judged by outside of a government building like a courthouse or government capitol? If I am convicted of a crime or am petitioning for something, and I don't honor your god, and I don't care for your stone age version of morality, is the message being sent t that I am to be judged fairly?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

"Do this list of stuff or you'll go to hell" seems very aggressive and presumptuous to me.

The demon is just asking people to chill their jets and looking damn fine while he's at it. That's my interpretation anyway.

Quote:but a symbol is not an offensive thing in and of itself if its meaning can be different for different people.
Then why is it only symbols you approve of which get to be on public land?  Who made you the arbiter?

Keep your bloody religion in your homes and churches and you'll have no trouble from me.
