Very appropriate that knowledge was the one thing Yahweh didn't want his creation to have, and that one part of the bible encourages people to act like children. Absolute obedience comes easier when you're ignorant.

Well, Harvard's probably pretty far extreme, but I wouldn't imagine it's among the absolute most in terms of that. Hahvahd's got a lot of old money and legacies and rich white conservative families too. I'd imagine the incoming classes of MIT, CalTech, and such are even less religulous that Harvard. And, of course, geography has a lot to do with it; state schools, especially in the south, will be pretty heavily Protestant.

You can be an indoctrinated zealot and go to a position of power if you are born on the right crib. And then there are the others that never stood a chance. 
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
That's something that's been happening throughout history. Like the notorious "There will be wars, and rumors of wars" prophesy. Not impressive.
