All these attempts to gang tag government property, really have never gone away, but the rise of it started as a result of the cold war scare.

I am in support of ChadWooters' wish to see Judeo-Christian relics erected and maintained at the expense of the taxpayer so long as he is equally in support of this going up right alongside it:

I like the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" routine, but we really don't need any ancient relics of any description being put up anywhere to remind us of our ignorant past...
Except maybe just one....
No God, No fear.

You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

There are some things we don't want to know. Important things. -- Ned Flanders Once something's been approved by the government, it's no longer immoral. -- The Rev Lovejoy (September 12, 2015 at 8:28 am)Nestor Wrote: I am in support of ChadWooters' wish to see Judeo-Christian relics erected and maintained at the expense of the taxpayer so long as he is equally in support of this going up right alongside it: A reality depicting statue containing a Catholic priest and kids would be far more offensive.
I would find this whole thing funny but I can't.
I just finished a summer internship where I spent the summer inspecting pavement in Oklahoma for a DOT report which would tell what kind of condition the road was in. We would walk the roads, take samples, and record what problems there were and how much and of what severity. There were more roads than I care to mention where I could pick up pieces of the pavement because they were in such bad shape. There were others where I couldn't even tell what the original pavement was because of damage and patch. How much money did they piss away on fighting for this shit? How many potholes could that have filled? How many miles of roads could have been patched or replaced? I bent one of my rims going to work one day because of bad paving. How many other people have done the same? And that bridge with half the supports exposed and non-functioning, could we have used that money to repair that?
