No offense, but do you have a little masochist in you? Why would you read it OVER? Fuck, once was enough for me and that was on a dare/bet/agreement (I will if you will kind of thing). BTW, the other person lost. To win caused me many a headache and lots of frustration. Never again.

Or is it the "better to keep your enemy close" thing?

I have heard that reading the bible at face value is the best atheistic tool there is. There's a reason why some christians say it must be read "in the spirit". Certain presuppositions must be in place before you take a crack at reading the inspired word of god.

That chart a while back of the thousands of Bible contradictions was damn informative too.

Not really  Angel but the bible itself is so fully of contradictions i do enjoy some of the mythology in the bible. I just look at the bible as a piece of literature 
and not something to take seriously.
