Random Thoughts on Hell: Daddy's Crazy
Hell. My goodness, what to say? Let's say that God and Hell do exist, for the sake of argument. The idea that a massive number of kind, just and loving people will be sentenced to the ultimate suffering and torment forever is insane. Theists may chime in with some wisdom on obedience, gifts and grace, but it has no bearing on the bigger issue. To describe God sentencing good people to an infinite Hell as an overreaction, doesn't do it justice. It's beyond an overreaction. An implementation so unreasonable and unfair, so over-the-top that I'm having difficult time understanding why I ever believed any of this.

But, keeping with the premise that all of this happens to be true....good grief, we're all screwed aren't we? As in all of humanity. A completely unreasonable, highly sadistic maniac is running the show. He's not made himself very clear....and he likes setting people up. That combination doesn't bode well for any of of us, does it? Can worship really tip the scales? Why bother?

The thing that's always got me the most with hell, is why the devil would do god any favours and help torture all these people that apparently deserve to be tortured? Surely if it was real, he'd be inviting guys like Hitler to the VIP lounge as congratulations on a job well done, not acting as some lord of the underworld like Hades from Greek mythology.

Well if heaven and hell were real then it can be easily deduced that god has some issues that he needs to talk about with a psychiatrist.

RE: Random Thoughts on Hell
Theists will most likely argue that god doesn't send you to hell, that you choose hell.

The problem is, that god never really made the rules clear. Instead he inspired some desert people to write a mostly nonsensical book with absolutely no valid proof that it's true, and then expect everyone to pick the right book and follow the right rules (and be born in the right area so you'll have access to said book.) In fact the book has plenty of contradictions, and many rules that make no logical sense.

People often claim supernatural revelation showing them that the bible is true. If this is the case, then God is choosing who to give supernatural encounters to. To say "God gives them to everyone, but some choose to ignore them," is to say that god doesn't know what evidence would convince any of us that he exists.

For some that Jesus performed miracles with witnesses was enough evidence for them. Even though the witnesses aren't reliable, and we have no evidence that these miracles ever occurred. Much more impressive, he could have advanced science significantly while still giving moral knowledge and supernatural healing. Imagine with such knowledge that Jesus should have had if he were god, how far he could have advanced science. Especially medical science. Few would deny his existence, because his advancements would be known far and wide because of their effectiveness. The old saying goes (and it's not in the bible) "Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime." Jesus could have healed a few people, or he could have given us the knowledge to heal ourselves so that even after he sacrificed himself to himself that we would still be able to get help from him (Of course then we would not be relying on Faith, which is fundamental to Christianity)

Why did Jesus come 2,000 years ago instead of today when his miracles could be verified? He's omniscient and knows all of time, so he knew the way he documented his coming to earth was insufficient. And he knew there was a time he could have come and left an irrefutable record. He chose not to do so.

Can you imagine what Republicans would do if a middle eastern socialist started preaching to them?  They'd crucify him!

And Jesus was so good at being God's son and launching a movement that in only 2000 years it schismed 40,000 fucking times.

Not the author of confusion ?

My ass.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

They could have been verified then. One problem, there weren't none.

He allowed a place of eternal torture to exist

He expects people to pick a faith and stick with it their whole lives without them knowing whether if it's true or not

So, most of the people that are worshipping god their entire lives, will go to hell, because he is either a) evil b) evil c) evil d) evil

This for you god, if you and your hell exist.
