-I was always very lenient with my kids, and let most of them do what they want. I was the 'cool mom'. I'd only get pissed if they put themselves or one of their siblings in danger.

-My oldest granddaughter is in the 6th grade. She's a quiet girl because she lost her mom. (Not my son's wife). Her mother overdosed, and her grandparents took her in. They were eventually able to find my son, and they had a DNA test done which showed he was her father. (The man they thought was her father had left years earlier after finding out she wasn't his. The asshole didn't care about her because she wasn't blood, but to me family isn't just blood)

-I once dated a guy 20 years younger than me. We stayed together for a year or two.

-My youngest daughter's girlfriend (soon to be wife) is a vegan which annoys the fuck out of me. Of course my daughter's a vegetarian. Which isn't a whole lot better. Tofurkey is terrible.

-I've met a few semi-famous people. Mostly porn-stars and b-list celebrities.

-My mother was a teenage prostitute. She became one after her parents died, and she had to live on the streets. I was born as a result of one of her johns, who later decided to marry her despite the fact he was married at the time.

-One of my grandchildren is black, and I hope by the time she's older that cops stop being fuckups that shoot unarmed black people because of the color of their skin. Same thing goes for her father.

-I drive a fuckin' Jaguar. It's a 2005 S-type, and it's fucking awesome. I always wanted a jag. So once I had the money, I bought it.

-Neither of my parents were born in the United States. My father moved here from the Netherlands when he was 25 years old. My mother moved here from Sweden when she was just 7 years old. I'm half-Swedish half-Dutch. (I took my mother's last name)

-I gave all my sons unisex names. And one of my daughters (Alex, though she prefers Alexa). She's named for her grandparents on the asshole's side. I don't regret it because they weren't assholes like their son. I named my middle son after my mother, even though now I don't think she deserved it.

I'm trying to think of things I haven't already bleated on about endlessly. Let's see...

1) I'm almost indestructible. As a child I used to throw myself on the floor in the playground, and as an adult I do wrestling moves on myself. I never seem to get injured.

2) I love roller skating. I used to do it all the time, but now I don't have anywhere close enough that's any good. I can still do it a bit even with ME, and it's one of the few ways I can feel a sense of freedom. I want to skate again soon!

3) I've never smoked a cigarette or tried any illicit drugs. I used to drink a bit of cider, but I've never been properly drunk.

4) I've never been in a proper fight. I used to do judo as a kid and even won a small tournament, with the use of just two moves. I used to be strong for my age.

5) I'm so different to both my parents that if I didn't look eerily like my mum I'd think I was adopted.

6) I spend a lot of time living in the past, thinking of the glory days of Asheron's Call where I was a monarch with over 500 followers; Magic the Gathering tournaments, particularly crucial mistakes at later stages; having loads of people to play Street Fighter with, and so on.

7) I spend a lot of time in my own imagination, pretending I'm in an ideal world of my own design where everything is absolutely perfect for me and everyone else. I'm also frequently imagining extremely violent scenes where a ninja who may or may not be me is slicing hundreds of people into pieces.

8) I believe I'll be with my wife for the rest of my life. She gets me and loves me in a way no one else ever has, and she makes everything worthwhile. We have our own ridiculous world of nonsense ideas and language, and bond through our deep love of animals.

9) It is extremely rare that I get angry. I refuse to argue with anyone in a shouting match. I stay calm, and I refuse to continue a conversation until the other person talks sensibly. The things that do make me angry are abuse to vulnerable people and animals, and if anything would ever provoke me into violence it would be this. I still doubt I would use any more force than necessary to stop the abuse.

10) My sense of morality is of utmost importance to me. If I ever do something I know is wrong, I feel a tremendous sense of guilt. If I've wronged someone, I can't live with it and I must confess and apologise. I'm always reconsidering my morality to see if it can be improved.

1. I used to run a recording studio out of my basement on the side. It at least paid for my equipment fetish, but not much else. Found out recording music is a ton of work, much of it exceedingly tedious.
2. Saw the Foo Fighters in Portland last night. Dave Grohl has more energy than many half his age. And with a broken leg. 
3. Own rather a lot of firearms. 
4. I like fast cars. Fastest so far was about 145mph on a track.
5. I like fast women. I'm impatient.
6. I love my girlfriend (see #5)
7. I'm teaching my GF to play the bass so I have an in-house bass player. Bought her a P bass. Quite devious of me.
8. I play classical piano, rock guitar and passable bass. 
9. I cannot play the drums. At all. After many attempts. 
10. I've taken to shooting film again. In small doses. 35mm and 120. Kicking around developing at least B&W at home.

Bonus serial killer fact -- I lived in Southern California during the Night Stalker scare. The rumor was his victims lived in yellow houses, near freeways. I lived in a yellow house, near a freeway. Freaked my ex out at the time. Doors and windows locked during a very hot So Cal summer with marginal AC.

- I smoke rolled cigarettes only with papers and filters, and use a zippo lighter since 5 years ago

- I am 1.76cm tall (that's 5 feet 919⁄64 inches according to google) which is considered average in my country for a male and weight 75kg (165 pounds)

- I have a specific location on every pocket to put all my stuff and I always put it in the same pocket, it's a routine and obsession I can't get over

- I enjoy wearing darker clothes and lately more traditional ones, and despite not enjoying shopping I do like looking at pairs of men's shoes, I currently own a pair of mocasins, a pair of swede shoes, a pair of dress shoes, a pair of semi-casual black shoes and a pair of converse for a more casual look

- I love wine, cigars and gin

- I love playing card games, specifically poker (Hold' Em), Hearts (not on the PC, with real people I mean) and some traditional games from my country. I also like chess but have a hard time getting into it

- I don't exercise but go for long walks frequently to compensate

- I can't snap my fingers or whistle. Oh, and can't ride a bike

- I think women in formal business attire look sexier than in feminine clothes, preferably with dark attire and a cigar in the mouth.

- I'm addicted to Clash of clans (smartphone game), you should play it too

Ten random facts . . . hmmm.  

1) I like to juggle. Bean bags, nothing on fire or sharp or pointy. I need my hands.

2) I love cats.

3) I'm a published composer. Not that it has earned me any money. 

4) I have a switchblade collection. Don't ask me why. I never intend to USE any of them . . . 

5) I'm arachnophobic to the point of mindless panic if I know there is a spider anywhere in the room.

6) I was a karate teacher for 16 years.

7) I prefer books to videos.

8) I rather like vaping.

9) When younger and searching for an alternative to Xtianity, I was a member of a Druid coven for about 5 years.

10) I adore beautifully crafted tattoos. My back is covered.

Given the odds, I wasn't too worried and was more annoyed at having to put up with having the house closed up for "safety" at night. My ex would not reasoned with.
