But then you should also consider how much closer to nature and other life they were back then. Then consider the fact that scriptures spanning time and geographic region teach the same core messages and structures with only minor greed laden discrepancies by man. Then observe all the geographic man made evidence that is strewn across the globe at all different ancient times and places.
Greed laden discrepancies. I'll take one of those, and one of those, and one of those...... Really there aren't many.

Close to nature? Close to mosquitoes and germs, pollen and bad breath
It's only because modern technology spares us from experiencing nature in the raw that some of us think we want to be close to nature. Balance is of the essence.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

All I wanna know is how he gets seven in a row when if I make two consecutive posts about my Gwynnies, it's all about "fuck you and your Gwynnies!"

Faith in selfless Unity for Good. How many discrepancies is god allowed? You want to give him 400 balls before he has to walk.

Faith in selfless Unity for Good. You might as well demand that we give the exact location of each drop of water in the ocean. If I list one, that's one too many for any book that claims to come from god. We know where the discrepancies are. we have read them. If you don't know, it's because you've built your life around a book that you haven't read.

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner... here's one: (like Rhonda said, even one is too many) ...to pray or not to pray?
Mat 6:7-8 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Luke 18:1&7 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint ...and shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
we're in this together, pops *thumbs up to Faith in selfless Unity for Good ...smiles and blessings to you, my friend :•)

We always wanted to or had to be close to nature. It nurtured us and kept us clothed. So this argument is missing the mark. Even in our industrialised world, we couldn't do without water and crops.

https://youtu.be/eaTA_PoayFc Was that supposed to be a contradiction?
The first is about repeating Lord or God over and over in prayer, and praying over and over for the same thing. The second is a reference to how oft one should pray, not for specific things but in order to keep God and his direction close to your heart that you won't falter so readily.
Thanks for the compliment. I agree, we are all in this together.
Peace.
