About the ignore list
It's seems that it's disabled for the new members?

If some of the old members on this forum are being trolls to the news, the new member has the right to put them on ignore, since that feature exists in the forum already.

Some will argue that one  should not do it because in doing so they "miss" out on considering the troll's perspective. I say NO, I do not. I didn't come here to  be ganged up on and insulted, accused and belittled. So no, I am not missing anything. If that's fair game here then the new member should simply be able to delete their account. And even that option is not available.

So I'll take the first if not, then the 2nd is next in line. thank you.

RE: About the ignore list
If you are trying to put a Moderator or Admin on ignore, that is not possible.

If you'd like to leave, go ahead. We do not delete accounts.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

No, we don't disable ignore lists for new members unless something changed I'm not aware of.

You should be able to ignore people except for mods and admins.
If you are being ganged up on, insulted, accused, and belittled it's possible that someone is breaking the rules. If you feel you've been personally attacked to the point of flaming you should make a report or PM a mod or admin about it.

I wouldn't want to ignore a mod or an adm. NO. Just the trolls. And this forum has few vile stinking ones that don't seem to have much of a life. I even reported one post but apparently, it seems like it standard procedure on here to gang up on and insult new members if they have a view that does not align itself with that of the forum.

Thank you so much for your kind reply.

If you're having trouble putting someone on ignore I'm sure there's someone around who can talk you through it. All members are allowed to put people on ignore as far as I know.

In case you didn't know, anyone whose username is in red or green are part of the admin/mod team and can not be put on ignore. Otherwise I'm fairly sure you can ignore anyone you'd like.

Didn't realize that was happening to you. I'm sorry.  Sad
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Looked in on OPs thread a little. He's getting as good as he gives by my reckoning.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom
