Creation of the World

Creation of the World
(Considering I live in the Bible Belt of the U.S., (AKA) The South, I thought you guys might find this funny..Tongue )

If you believe in creation as espoused in the Bible, then Adam and Eve's children would actually have had to have sex with one another for the earth to have become populated.

This is surely proof positive that Alabama was at one time the Garden of Eden.

(If you are from Alabama, then please tell this to your Uncle-Daddy & Aunt-Momma... ...bwahahahah..Tongue)

RE: Creation of the World
It's actually much worse: Their children were two boys. So most probably they had sex, but that would usually not lead to further babies. So the children of Eve must have had sex with Eve herself to keep mankind going. But maybe that's also common, where you're from Big Grin

RE: Creation of the World
I was always confused by that bit.

God only creates Adam and Eve, who then have Cain and Abel.

When Cain kills Abel, and I quote......

004:015 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain,
vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a
mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

004:016 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in
the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

004:017 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and
he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the
name of his son, Enoch.

Question one, since there are only three people in the world who was meant to see the mark?

Q2 Where did his wife come from?

Q3 Where did the population of Enoch arrive from?

When I was 6 years old, in 'hebrew school' at an orthadox synogogue, the rabbi told us the Adam and Eve story. I asked who their kids married since the only girl was their 'mommy'. Rabbi couldn't answer, got mad, and I wouldn't shut up asking. Hahahaha, lying asshole, couldn't back up his fairy tale.

Maybe I should change my listed religious view from atheist to anti-theist, since I've been pissed off at this myth being pushed on me since my earliest memories.

Here is another poser about the spontaneously created beings. Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons? A pastor of mine answered that question with yes. He said that God picked them up and poked them in the belly saying, "You're done, and you're done."

Lmao!! I have heard of most of these holes in the Adam and Eve myth. Christians are so funny when they try to explain all of the above mentioned inconsistencies.More modern Christians in an attempt to make it irrelevant will state that the Adam and Eve story is not meant to be taken literally. That is the beauty of the bible it is so pliable that you can literally interpret it to mean anything you want. If it does not make sense in the real world then you simply call it a parable, an allegory, etc.
There is nothing people will not maintain when they are slaves to superstition

But you must remember its all spiritual and doesnt actually mean what it says, somehow.

Isnt that right frodo.

(I know he's watching somewhere, frodo sees all)

RE: Creation of the World
The problem is the millions that take it literal.......

And yes, even though before I posted the above, I knew of the 2 sons and one being killed etc. etc. etc.

When I asked about where the wife came into place for Cain, I was given MANY made up opinions.....Never really got a straight answer on this one...
