Wouldn't help. I think police work is one of those jobs where lots of people go in thinking they'll be different, they'll buck the trend and change things for the better. And the vast majority get inside and quickly realize their choices are comply and adopt/continue the existing culture or wash out and start over from scratch in a different field.

I think people should take a am i racist test under a polygraph before becoming a cop i swear.....

Everyone is racist, in one way or another, except maybe babies. . . and I'm not sure about them. What matters is whether the racism leads to bad behaviors.

Yep i agree there is some underlying level of racism but a large amount makes a person do bad things i won't disagree but in the case of cops
that type of mentality and that line of work just does not mix at all.

1. According to whom? Since there is no requirement for police to report how many people they kill to anyone ever, that number is a guess at best.
2. That fraction, a guess though it is, still translates to over 1000 individuals. How many of those individuals were armed and presenting a real and obvious threat?
3. More importantly, how many weren't? If that number is above zero, and it most certainly is, than it's too many.
4. Even more importantly, how many of the officers that shot said individuals who were not armed nor presenting any kind of real and obvious threat will face criminal charges or see real jail time for their actions? If the answer is anything less than all, then its far too few.

I've been saying this for years and I get so many response of, "I'm not racist.  How dare you accuse me of that!"

What I actually say is that I believe all humans are inherently racist to some degree.  The decent ones are the ones that try to overcome that racism.
