a quick update. The case of the Hartford cop that stomped on the head of a man that was cuffed, on the ground not resisting last summer.
he gota 90 suspension and denied a promotion. the other cops got a few days suspension. I believe that cop had 15 other slaps on the wrist.

Texas Police Shoot and Kill Student, 15

Well, WTF.  I mean it is Texass and the kid was black.  They'd have probably shot him sooner or later for something else!

According to a police statement, officers were responding to a 911 call reporting drunken young people when they heard gunfire from an “unknown altercation,” and then a car backed down the street toward them in an “aggressive manner.”

The statement said an officer opened fire, striking a front seat passenger, who died from his injuries at a hospital.

“We still don’t have all the facts,” Officer Pedro Gonzalez, a spokesman for the Balch Springs Police Department, said in a brief telephone interview.

They're not sure what's going on, but they saw something to shoot, and they went for it. Not even going to try to investigate, and assess the situation, or anything you'd expect a trained police officer might do. If it moves, shoot it. if it doesn't immediately obey commands, shoot it. If it looks like it may do something troublesome, or try to get away, shoot it.

Officer Who Shot Walter Scott to Plead Guilty in Charleston

It was not immediately clear which charges Mr. Slager, who is white, might plead guilty to. He was scheduled to go on trial this month on charges that he violated Mr. Scott’s civil rights. In December, his murder trial in state court concluded in a mistrial.

Since we aren't told what charges and since it is South Carolina are we right to fear that he plead guilty to charges of littering?

Michael Slager will plead guilty, this afternoon, to one federal charge of excessive force as part pf a plea agreement. it is punishable by up to life in prison.

There is a reason he will plea, so you might be correct. Who would plead guilty for a life sentence unless he is trying to avoid death penalty?

Officer who shot and killed 15-year-old Jordan Edwards fired

Turns out he is not only a murderer but a liar.  The car was not "aggressively backing up" towards the cops but was driving away.  They apparently can forgive him for shooting the kid but lying on an official report is a bridge too far!

That cop was put on leave and might be fired. I am not hearing that cop should be arrested, period!!!
