Gotta hand it to Randy. He's a provocateur extraordinaire. And mostly with copy paste.

There are also atheists in foxholes.  The numbers are lower naturally because there are fewer atheists than there are believers.  You will also however not find atheists flying planes into buildings, or blowing themselves up.

As for the idea nobody can be bullied into believing.. that's plainly false.  Children are bullied into it with the idea that if they don't believe, they'll go to hell.  That idea carries on with them through their lives.  They're indoctrinated from a young age, and with bullying are led to believe that if they do not believe, they will burn in hell for eternity.  That means many of them can't stop even if they wanted to out of fear (a result of the bullying)

So true.  I am Agnostic and Anti-Theist,
but to say that my Christian upbringing left no trace on my psyche would be false.

I wish I could say otherwise.

Yes.  I also think it would be nice if we could have chocolate-flavoured air.  I'd like that, too.

Exactly.  If you're falling off a cliff face, trying to grab at a passing seagull would be more useful than calling on Jesus.

I rather like the New Atheists. Not for their arguments, but their rhetoric. They have helped in at least 2 ways. 1) Prompted people to think, and 2) they had the balls to stand up and call out religion where the free press have caved in. Kudos for that. I can live with whatever other baggage comes with them. The folks who criticise them, don't want to face down the excess of the fanatics and we would be poorer if we didn't have them around challenging our thinking and pointing out some rather difficult things.
