I like how they've skewed the statistics by only using SELECT *developed countries* by only using 14 out of 34 recognized developed countries. My guess is they chose the ones with the least amount of gun violence to make the US seem much worse by comparison.

I see it as a feedback loop.
The more shootings, the more crazies, the more you need to protect yourself! More guns will make you safer! But can you guarantee that you won't be the next crazy?

The two brothers in this story are one of my co workers sons.

The accused was going to go to trial already for cocaine and weapons charges. How is he out in bars murdering people while he is waiting? Bullshit.

More guns will make you safer? How so, if you lack the training? And by training I don't mean knowing how to shoot a piece. No, the real deal, how to pick the right target in a combat situation without getting offed yourself or offing some innocent bystander.

That is one point of SENSIBLE gun reform no one ever thinks about (and I DO support gun reform, just not banning them across the board). People should be licensed to own guns by going through state-approved courses on gun safety, how to properly operate a gun, marksmanship and gun laws. Annual re-exam/re-liscensing. Mandatory psych exam, mandatory approved gun safe to store them in and mandatory insurance too.
