RE: Charged for "faith healing" over medical care
Where are the believers input in these threads?

Um let see. They prayed but god said no. That hit close to the mark?

I think Faith Healing without a license should be illegal.

That gets past all the "RELIGIOUS FREEDOM" Bullshit. Require a license. A simple test to prove that you're capable of faith healing -- the government brings you someone who can't walk, and you fucking heal them. Or someone who is blind. If those people then start seeing or walking then congratulations! You just got your faith healing license. If they're still unable to walk or see, then fuck off.

I think faith healing with or without a license should be a illegal. Faith healing does not work medicine
not placebos work. Medicine works because it actually does something were as faith all you pretty much are doing
is hoping really hard to get better.

If the government people are believers (and more than likely they can be found) the people to be healed will all be plants. Haven't you ever watched a healing program on TV?

I would make them heal several people before they get the license, but I agree with your basic point.  I also think that "psychics" should also have to have a license before practicing, and that they, too, should have to prove they can do it before the license is issued.  All who practice without a license should be punished for fraud (in addition to practicing without a license).

Since they are all frauds, no one would be issued a license.

Quote:Dale and Shannon Hickman are members of the Followers of Christ church in Oregon City, which the state said has a long history of children dying from preventable conditions because their parents refused them medical care.
These fuckers that run the church need to be charged too, they're just as culpable in my view.

If these faith healers can't demonstrate under scientific conditions that they are actually delivering what they claim, then they shouldn't be allowed to practice.

More for the "where's the harm" crowd. Irrational beliefs lead to bad decisions.
