The implications of that are very disturbing. And WTF Mr Greene?

But this thread is all about the family God and there being a particular missing link to it, at least it is partially. It is about my name: James Brenton Killingsworth. It has a big impact on my family as well, perhaps anyway, who's names are too big for honor. I believe with all sincerity and cannot find disproof, that my name comes out pronounced as Christ. I also believe there is a meaning behind my name, kind of like Christ means Yahweh or God, but I don't want to divulge into that yet.

I'm just going to critique this bit, simply because your reasoning shows a severe lack of scholarship in the area. The name Christ comes from the Roman name or title "Chrestus" which meant literally "the good [man]". There were thousands of people living in Roman Europe during the early Principate who either were called Chrestus or were given the title Chrestus. It was so common that it pretty much lost all meaning. This is one of the major pointers towards the mythical aspect of the Jesus story.

Thanks for the information, Constable Dorfl. There are a lot of Killingsworths, believe it or not, even though the name is so strong and high. That really got my attention earlier when I was considering why my parents are such significant people, because too many Killingsworths would mean too many God's. But that turned out not to be the case afterall! There's a bunch of Killingsworths! Almost too many! I was starting to wonder when I would ever see the end of that little joke, but what you said above kind of helps, so thanks!

Scylla   The name Scylla (spelled cylla in some other countries) In Greek the meaning of the name Scylla is: A sea monster. And Chrestus was only a title. It has never been a family name.

drfuzzy:

What do you think about the name meaning "The word of cylla's people". Implication: The word of God's people. If my name turns out to be evidently "God's own name" or whatever, what would you expect people to gather from that? You're just not giving my name enough credit. With the name basically meaning "God's word" even you are out classed in your explination. And yes, I can back this up. Whenever my name is pronounced, you get the feeling that you are dismissing all other nobility all together. My point is you haven't addressed this, and my name is too high to not be the sons of God or God.

I doubt cylla is a sea  monster. Besides, I found "deity" for search results of cylla once. I get the impression that it actually means "the word of God's people" since afterall search results for the name cylla are so rare, it must be for this reason. That cylla is not found because it is the pronnounciation of an entirely different word.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
