Trump Fading

RE: Trump Fading
Which polls are you guys taking a look at? I haven't ever bothered with that before last week, when I looked at Huffington. Trump was somewhat far ahead of Carson, who was way, way ahead of anybody else. Even Santorum was, like, at .06% IIRC.

Geez, don't you know anything?  The President and Vice President have to be from different States.  That's because the electors in the Electoral College can't vote for two people from their home States.  In other words, the Florida electors could vote for Bush but if they did then they couldn't vote for Rubio.

Partially correct; but the electors from the other 49 states and DC could vote for the ticket.

Of course, I doubt now that Bush is going to get that far anyway, given his poor showing in both polling and debate.

Also, we can have a civil conversation, but you'll need to be civil yourself for that to happen. And if you'd rather be rude, I'll just move on to the other posters who prefer generating light to heat.

Bush is not going to get far. When you have to go in front of the press explaining why your candidacy is not dead, you've got big hurdles. Politics is about perception.

Not impressed with anyone, really. It is scary that it may come down to Hilary Clinton vs Trump. Gee, what country should I move away to, should either of these happen?

LOL, again, no, Wyrd.  He was from Arkansas...and that's about as close as he gets to the title. There are plenty of people in Arkansas, probably a safe bet that they aren't all rednecks. Hell, rednecks -hated- Clinton. Still hate Clinton.

I like Ben Carson.  He's the only person who came out and said that he would rush a shooter who was picking off students one at a time.  Duh!  I always figured I would rush at him in a zig zag pattern.  He actually got criticized for saying that!

Uhm, you never have been in a shootout, do you? Obviously Carson hasn't been either.

I've never been in a shootout, but I'm not stupid enough to stand there and let him shoot me in the head.  Did you ever read the advice to someone who is ordered into a car at gunpoint?  The advice is to run like crazy because you know you're dead anyway if you enter the car.  Carson grew up in Detroit and learned some street smarts.
