Australia launches Anti-Islam Party

RE: Australia launches Anti-Islam Party
What I don't understand is: Christian Fascists have so much in common with their Muhammadan counterparts. Why do these Fascist Christians have to see those corrupted by Saudi brainwashing as their enemy? Let's see:

1. They both hate homosexuals (and, by extension bisexuals) with a passion.
2. Both hate secularism and Atheism.
3. Both want to control women (especially their reproductive rights)
4. Both hate transgender people
5. Both groups are rape apologists and like to place the blame for rape on the victim.
And the list goes on.

I don't wish death on believers, their ideas sure, but not my fellow human. I think it is perfectly ok to hate those who use holy books as weapons to justify oppression, bigotry, sexism, homophobia. But again, it is not ok to treat your fellow human as a sub species.

Ridiculous political parties built solely on the back of racist sentiment aren't a new thing to Australia. Once upon a time it was "the Asians," which... I mean... Jeez. You'd think people would learn a little something from the One Nation party, which to my knowledge never got any power outside of state politics, but hey.

You'd also think they'd know there's already a party they could join if all they want is to stir up racial prejudices and fear of immigrants: the Liberals Party has been about that for years.

In Europe, people don't like going trough the hassle of creating a party just to hate Muslims, it's better to create one where you can hate jews, muslims, gays and blacks in the same space Tongue Of course, it is usually illegal to do so, so just replace hatred with preservation and you're set to go.

Yea replacing worship of religion for worship of nationalism is still a form of worship.

I think everybody has a tendency to worship, so to speak, their political ideology, and that is usually a problem, but I try not to do it. Nationalism is a necessary part of Human nature because otherwise borders and countries wouldn't exist.

I've met Marxists and liberals who were super close minded, and I have a far-right friend who is one of the nicest people I've ever met. I've discussed things with fascists, racists, commies, liberals, conservatives, anarchists, etc - I've reached the conclusion that the more I talk to people and the more I know, the more confused I am and the less answers I end up finding.

I don't know about the current Portugese fearmonger branch, but how would you describe the Vlaams block, The Sweden Democrats, Orban's Fides, The FPÖ or Wilder's party?

What have they all to offer besides inciting hatred and offer some fearmongering and easy solutions? How about describing their economical plans?

No there were humans long before our artificial labels we call nations and boarders. What unfortunately makes them essential is because we don't use our brains and far too often default to beating the shit out of each other because that is easier than accepting that we are older than our nations and boarders. See Sagan's Pale Blue dot speech.

Well, the Portuguese far-right, a group I consider weird because Portuguese old school fascists are VERY different from them, has a lot of economic plans I actually agree with, it's just the social policy that bugs me. If there was a socially tolerant party with some measures like leaving the EU, nationalizing companies and fighting for workers' rights, etc, I would vote for them. I don't think there is such a party.

I have no knowledge of those parties to be honest - But are the Sweden Democrats far right? I thought the nazi party in Sweden was dissolved by a lack of membership. I know Austria has it bad, and Greece as well. France is on its way, and it has the advantage of appealing to younger audiences wisely, something other far-right politicians will probably try to copy.

To be honest, economic plans tend to be close in the center and different in the extremes, like communist parties, etc.

It's easier to accept we are all acting wrong instead of facing the harsh reality of Human tribalism. We conquer territories and set borders like other species do to mark their own land. We're not an unique case, just more sophisticated when doing so. I actually believe the ideal political regime would be city-states, tiny city-states, for me it would be great and free many cities of centuries of exploitation.
