Ah shit, Assassin's Creed. Forgot that one.
That bumps Arkham Knight off my list, then. AC2 or Revelations was my fave, although the first one was the most perfect match of high expectations and delivery on those expectations. Not great replay value, and the story of AC1 was repetitive. But diving off of View Points was boner inducing, and so were the first few times you air assassinated someone. I must have watched the trailers for AC1 a thousand times in anticipation. I wasn't disappointed, which is why the game holds water for me.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Resident Evil 4 - I actually never played this until like 2010, but by far the best in the RE series and I think most people agree on this. I can still play this now even with the dated gameplay and graphics, and still enjoy it.
X-Men Legends - I was a big X-Men geek as a kid (still am a bit) and I played this game to fucking death back when it was new in like late 2004/early 2005. This was one of those game discs that went into my PS2 and didn't come back out for weeks.
Assassin's Creed 2 - Best in the series imo. Still shits on all the others, although Black Flag isn't far behind.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary - I've always loved the TR series but this remake of the first game comes out on top for me. There was always something about it I just loved, and it's still one of those I find myself going back to play again and again.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Another one I played to death when it was new, and still my favourite Uncharted. Loved the gameplay, the atmosphere, the story writing. So much fun.
Honourable mentions go to The Last of Us, AC: Black Flag and Saints Row 2
Holy shit, I forgot all about X-Men Legends. I tend to only remember the 2 Ultimate Alliance games, and completely forget that they came from the X-Men: Legend games. I played the hell out of those games when they came out. And then again when with my daughter when she was 8 and 9. Good times.
I was thinking about this the other day- I bought the original X-Box in '01 or '02. A few years later the 360 came out. My daughter was born in '05. She's 10 and we're still rocking the 360 and only recently got the Xbox One. That's a crazy long life span for a console. But it also means I can show her some awesome games that came out when she was born. That's kind of odd.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
