As far as I know, none of us are experts in that field. Just saying, since every speculation leads into mralstoner territory.

This may be idle speculation, but for it to be in the mralstoner territory it would have to involve Obama using Kenyan currency to pay the Chinese to do this in order to help the Muslims and divert attention away from Russia, so as to better put white Australians like him in more existential danger.

I think speculation can be fun so long as one remembers that it's not a substitute for an expert opinion. Sleepy

I'm going with loss of structural/mechanical integrity. Not due to an outside force but due to natural wear and tear, lack of maintenance,...........
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Tail loss scenario seems to gain support.

The wreckage of tail section of the aircraft is reported to be separated from the main debris field by 5 Km or 3 miles.

As yet there seem to be no evidence of bomb related injuries to the bodies.

Yeah, the Beeb has been reporting it's a bombing all day now.

An aviation expert on CNN noted that they detected an explosion which does not necessarily mean a bomb.  A fuel tank explosion similar to TWA-800 remains a remote possibility.  One imagines they will quickly detect residue from the explosion and figure it out from there.

Now we're back to speculation, but I had the real pleasure of riding shotgun in the third cockpit seat in an A 320 on a flight from Paris to Vienna. It was because I have an incurable fear of flying and the crew invited me to the cockpit, which probably broke the safety rules in some way.

The pilot explained a lot to me. And one thing especially stood out. He more or less said that the only thing bringing this baby down, was to detonate a bomb onboard, while he demonstrated the controls and safeties of the plane to me, probably making some passengers sick in the process.

Look at the people who have a motive.

1.  ISIS, pure whackos.
2.  Assorted Arab governments.
3.  Flight crew.
4.  Israel.
5.  The US.
6.  Run of the mill lunatic.
7.  Bad luck.

It's interesting to me that the debris field is relatively small and that a lot of stuff is relatively intact.  None of the pieces seem to have been buried on impact.  It appears that the plane pancaked.  It was probably just a mechanical failure or bad fuel.

RE: Russian Plane Crash
So now United States and its puppets can justify bombing (insert Arabian country here) some more? Either someone turned a blind eye to the bomb (and let it onto the plane) or the bomb managed to get past airport security because it's more sophisticated than the average bomb. In either case, it doesn't look good and I believe this is being used to sway public opinion to support further acts of aggression by the United States.
