A "former screennames" link would be the best compromise. Keep it off'n every post, but allow each reader to investigate on their own.

It would be less obtrusive if it only listed the name in parenthesis or brackets or something. Do we really need that long line of text? Even just "Formerly known as:" would be an improvement.

I was kinda making a joke with the lone line bit. A parody of the "artist formerly known as prince" thing.

I can make it shorter or even put the usernames in parenthesis if people want.

I don't think a link will suffice; people should be able to see at a glance who someone with a new username is.

Well why was EvidenceVsDelusion and EvidenceVsFaith (as opposed to EvidenceVersusFaith) left off mine?

I actually have at least 5 previous names and this one, Evie is at least my 6th username.
