So basically you are saying that christmas has nothing to do with christianity, admit it's Pagan, while admitting the Bible is also based mostly on the teachings of Paganism? So why bother be christian?

Christmas has everything to do with christianity. We don't celebrate whatever the pagans celebrated on that day. We celebrate the birth of Christ on that day. What does it matter if it is on the same day that pagans celebrated something else? We could celebrate it on any day of the year that we wanted to.

Such as April 21st, for example, the birth date of Christ that many second and third century Christians ascribed to the king of God's city... Curiously also the date that Rome was thought to have been founded...

Hehehe. I think God's the true April fool's fool!
He inseminated Mary immaculately, when he could have just fucked her instead!
What a waste of a good night in the hay. He's such a loser.

Christmas has everything to do with christianity.  We don't celebrate whatever the pagans celebrated on that day.  We celebrate the birth of Christ on that day.  What does it matter if it is on the same day that pagans celebrated something else?  We could celebrate it on any day of the year that we wanted to.

So I presume you don't object to people who don't believe in the story of Jesus' birth or the mythos of Christianity also celebrating Christmas in an entirely secular way.

Because that's the only reason people ever bring Saturnalia up, when Christians say nobody who isn't a Christian has a right to celebrate Christmas. As if they can stop it  Shy
