That’s bloody convenient for you, innit?

RE: Interpretation of scripture
It's probably good for magic books that people can reinterpret a completely random effect of drying paint hundreds of times - because magic books predictions and proclamations turned out to be straight gibberish. That could have, and has before, lead to alot of wasted time and effort and organization in society.

At some point people are going to have to stop smoking that magic book rock entirely - but for now..it's good enough that we've got them on a substitute product with fewer adverse effects. That's the real magic of reinterpretation, imo.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

What's the substitute?

The non literal ambiguous and malleable versions of their formerly sacred truths.

Convenience is good, yes. But if scripture can mean anything, it means nothing.

It would be convenient for me if Halle Berry lusted for me, but it isn't true.

If it were halle berry in the sky, you could(and we have)created religions that insisted she lusted for you..and, fwiw, halle berry plays that role herself onscreen.

After all, have we not all done our share of interpreting the works of writers throughout out educational experience?

If there is conjecture and hot debate regarding the interpretation of a fictional writer, then how can there not be the same in relation to the bible?

Oh, right, denominational differences.

As a writer, it is rather clear to me what has happened.

Also as a writer, if anything of mine is published when I am no longer around to explain what I wrote, others will misinterpret what I wrote because they are stupid.

Get the picture yet?

If you are a theist reading this, probably not.  Sad for you.

First, "...no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." - 2 Peter 1:20-21

Second, the Holy Bible interprets the Holy Bible and it is harmonious from Genesis through Revelations (notwithstanding portions which may appear incongruous). In reading the Holy Bible one must compare spiritual things with spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:13), or scripture with scripture.

Third, all of GOD's people (those who truly belong to Him by His grace and mercy alone, not their works) are taught by Him (John 6:45), so there is no confusion with them.

Get the picture?

I sincerely hope that you will (for your sake, and that of others').

"And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand." - Daniel 12:9-10

The verse isn't very specific. It's quite possible that Christians by and large don't understand, and atheists by and large do. It's Christian hubris that assumes that they qualify as holy in the eyes of their god.

Just speaking for myself, I've known quite a few wicked Christians, and as far as atheists go... they've been less wicked on average compared to the Christians.

Actually, it is quite specific in so far as who will know the truth as contained in Holy Scripture, and who will not.

A true Christian is continuously taught many good things by GOD, including to be humble like the CHRIST, not arrogant! A true Christian knows that but for the grace of GOD he/she would still be under wrath, so where does arrogance come in?

I have stated before - per the Bible, which is truth - that not everyone who claims to be a Christian is in fact so.  The Lord GOD knows those who are His - 2 Timothy 2:19

----

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." - Matthew 7:21

Furthermore, judgment begins at the house of GOD - "and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?” - 1 Peter 4:17-18
