The article reports that they will appeal to a higher court, yes. Additionally, the judge making the initial decision seems to have had earlier problems with his own behavior. My guess is that this ruling won't stand. The couple will get an emergency stay, and the ruling will be reversed upon appeal. The problem is that adults think their rights should outweigh the rights of children, but I would 100% agree that a child should have both a father and mother wherever possible. That's not to say that I agree with taking children aware from their parents or guardians based on their sexuality; since parental stability is even more important still.
