That is a red herring. The conversation here is about children who are not with their biological parents, for whatever reasons. They are in foster care.

When compared to what other circumstances? Better than being alone on the streets; I think that would be obvious. Better than being in care; probably right. Better than in a homosexual-coupled home; I'm sure I've seen evidence to suggest the contrary. What about the control groups: loving homes, homes with domestic abuse, varied income groups? I think you're making an oversimplification so you're not being clear.
