Mind and thought seem to be readily measurable, there's a whole field of study devoted to nothing else. Look, "god" is neither demonstrable nor detectable until you provide either, that's the way it is. If it's important to you for a god to be demonstrable and detectable you need to reassess your appraisal of faith, but there's no sense in reducing either concept (or thoughts and mind) to the absurd just to excuse your special exemptions for "god". God is, after all, supposed to be special.... Will that make for a valid rebuttal or defense of concept, no....but at least it's consistent.

If God exists in reality he cannot be timeless. He loses all of his God characteristics.

no i dont need God to be demonstratable science cannot demonstrate right now where thoughts originate from and its fine with me thats its not demonstratable only the atheist has an issue with that God has already demonstrated to me existence , what science knows or doesnt know doesnt matter . and i dont think scientific discovery would be convincing . the idea or radio waves was not convincing to everyone it wasnt physical and many people dismissed the theory of radio waves existing at first , there is some study of thoughts but bit more related to sleep studies REM and beta delta brain wave states .

Yeah, science can indeed demonstrate where thoughts come from. You disagree with their demonstration, but so what? Your disagreement only exists to support your sloppy thinking, in service of a god you cannot demonstrate and is not detectable. You like to make the claims, to say the words. You clearly don't care about the truth of those claims, or the meanings of the words. Has it ever occurred to you, that this might be why you have a difficult time communicating your god concept to others?

there are theories about thoughts but they are all unproven because you can measure the physical change in the brain chemistry and the theories about the mind and consciousness but origins of thoughts are based on theory are not proven and cannot be proven unless they are physical esp has been studied if thats what your referring to but this isnt esp and even the esp studies are very basic

Science doesn't prove, but who cares, you said it couldn't demonstrate, which it can and does. Get your shit together. Does it matter, in any case, or is this simply a way for you to avoid backing up the claims you can't help but make? Have we got another pigeon on our hands?

no science cannot demonstrate the origin of thoughts or anything more than the very basic knowledge about thoughts/mind im not trying to convince anyone of anything i was just curious as to what deists and other theists believe about God .

This is equally as horrific as anything I've ever heard a theist say(religious or not). What you should have answered honestly in the first place. You believe God magically beams into your brain and that he is Not demonstrable. you base your understanding of the world around you on what your imaginary friend tells you. You are being illogical and unreasonable. But the worst of all, what really freaks me out, is what I quoted you saying. You won't stop listening to your imaginary friends bs even if he were proven wrong. You don't care about science, reason, or the basic pursuit of knowledge and understanding. You have turned your thinking cap off, thrown up your hands, and given up. I'm sorry if I offend you, butou are pretending to have knowledge.

no i meant that i dont think science could prove Gods existence to you , if science could prove that God does not exist i would believe that but i need evidence to eith believe or disbelieve in something im not trying to convince anyone that God exists believe me and science it would convince me i dont think it would convince anyone that God does exist even if science could it wouldnt be believed peopel still wouldnt believe in God just for the fact that the evidence would be non physical . not everyone believed radio waves existed after it was discovered .

Jenny 1972 Wrote:i need evidence to eith believe or disbelieve in something But you do not require a shred of evidence for a god claim. You are being dishonest.
Jenny 1972 Wrote:not everyone believed radio waves existed after it was discovered . They did soon after though, because they couldn't rationally "not" believe it because it was demonstrable. This is due to the fact that radio waves manifest in reality. But after thousands of years, God still cannot be demonstrated. This is because God does not manifest in reality, which by definition means God DOES NOT EXIST. You used an improper metaphor. You cannot present a real metaphor because anything real that you reference actually exists.
I claim that a god can not exist. The very existence of a god is contradictory and makes zero sense. There's no room in reality for God. It is an impossibility. I've said all I can. I hope you allow yourself to think more freely on the subject some day
