What's wrong with this statement?

"Not all muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are muslim."
(Someone posted this sentiment on a car forum I frequent)

I'm sure the IRA would have been most surprised.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Not all muslims are terrorists. People bombing abortion clinics, or churches frequented by blacks, or whatever are terrorists. Anyone who attacks people or places to inspire fear in those people are terrorists. The most dangerous terrorist groups in America are local right wing extremist groups. Not muslims.

You're forgetting Mustafa O'Malley.
Seriously, though - utterly stupid claim. FARC, Shining Path, Aum Shinrikyo, the LRA, those world class lunatics of Kahane Chai - too many more to mention.
A better claim might be, 'All terrorists are Muslims, except for the 94% who aren't.'

For the same reason why the above statement is false (no blanket statements are ever true), we also cannot say that all Aussies are racist. But it does sadden me that no one was criticising this poster.
I suppose the vocal minorities always seem to attract the most attention.
On the ABC this morning they stated that there have been 3 terrorist attacks carried out in Australia and another 6 attempts foiled.
