Poland plans to turn Syrian refugees into a resistance army to fight Isis

RE: Poland plans to turn Syrian refugees into a resistance army to fight Isis
The UK is taking in 20k refugees. The reason they're not taking in any more is because the appetite for letting refugees in amongst public opinion is somewhere below 10%. Political suicide for the government, be it labour or Tory.

Paris hasn't helped.

The dummy wants to train a foreign army in his own house. We know what's going to happen. The foreign army will take over his house. Goodbye Poland.

Actually, you're wrong - The EU is deciding how many refugees countries will take and how do quotas work - Before you mention the UK, keep in mind that it's a "country" with different abiding rules for the EU and so it has more power than most EU member states (like they get to keep their own currency) - So it becomes irrelevant really. Obviously, quotas should take into account population numbers, economic issues, etc. It would be irrational for a country like mine (Portugal) with some statististics showing over 30% youth unemployment and a population between 10-11 million to take in the same number of refugees as Germany.

For my point, countries with a population that is very similar will react worse to immigrants simply because they are not used to it. Would you be surprised if you went to a rural area somewhere where people have never seen someone with the same ethnic background as you, and they just stared at you for being there? OF course, diversity doesn't equal tolerance because a diverse population can be racist between groups and some groups may like or dislike another, but a population that is overwhelmingly similar and simultaneously doesn't view other ethnicities favorably will probably react worse to the presence of immigrants.

BTW, I wonder why the UK isn't taking any refugees? Are they a special snowflake now?

If a Country cannot support the refugees that they have they should be able to move them outside of their country or not be obligated to accept them at all but if they do choose they should decide when and how many instead of outsiders making decisions for their Country so there should be no quotas at all unless the president of a Country agrees to it . And its amazing its being tolerated at all . european countries are losing their sovereignty a quota shouldnt be tolerated a Country (and a State) has a responsibility to its own citizens first . A refugee quota despite the needs of a Country and their own people is complete craziness . No country should be forced to absorb refugees if that weakens their economy or society or their countrymen in a significant way and each Country should individually make the decision if it does or not .

Im not surprised Europeans are frustrated and protesting and trying to come up with solutions it is a problem . You cant blame them for trying to come up with a solution to the problem of course an obvious solution would just say no more refugees we cant and wont take them and send the current refugees within their borders somewhere else if it is causing them hardship and is against what the people want ! Nothing good ever comes , for a government , whether its the "EU" or their own when people do not feel like the government over them is listening or paying attention to their needs .

Yes, and in that you're missing the mark. First, the EU is the sum of the national governments. It's not some secret overlord, but the ministers sitting together and deciding nothing - as they di these last few months. There are no quotas as of yet and there won't be any, since some governments simply are in fundamental opposition to the whole plan. So Orban can get away with what he does, as well as Poland, as well as the Czechs.

Yet some countries are different so far, among them Germany, where only the German equivalent of Texas, Bavaria, is opposing Merkel's policy. And they are, what you're dubious definition of ethnically homogenous is all about. More than Poland will ever be. Look up the different minorities, traditionally living there.

Uhm... What? "Several hundred thousand refugees"? In Poland? Excuse me, but where did you get that information from? I'm going to go ahead and assume, that you just made it up...

No. It's not even close. Poland is not a wealthy country - they couldn't possibly accept more than a few thousand refugees, even if they wanted to, which they don't. There are currently maybe few hundred Syrian refugees in Poland and the vast majority of them are Christians, since that's who Poland volunteered to accommodate so far. Of course - after the attacks in Paris, Poland is now refusing to accept any more, especially muslims.

As for training a Syrian army in Poland - Polish politicians are retarded, especially the bigoted bunch, that just won the elections. Whatever happens to this particular idea - and I suspect nothing will actually happen - it will be a disaster, you can count on that.

true Poland only has a couple thousand refugees a small number compared to other european countries that have taken in several hundred thousand refugees . The German refugee plan in fact is is to take in one million refugees by the end of next year despite very strong opposition and outrage to it by german people . A lot of european countries are trying to manage all these refugees  and europeans are protesting and their leaders should pay attention to their people . Germans have limited influence and theyre getting more frustrated as they should be and the outrageous idea of 'quotas' imposed on the european people im sure does upset a lot of people .
