At the same time, I will also tell kids not to start, and yes, I am glad they cant put adds on TV or sell them with the Marlboro man or Joe Camel, and I am glad they don't make candy smokes anymore. Just like I think we should stop making fossil fuel burning cars, or factories for that matter. And even if we went to electric cars, I see no need to build anything that goes over 55mph. Speeding isn't done by drivers for safety reasons, fast cars are marketed based on the buyer's ego and vanity. NO I buy cigarettes like a heroine addict, I don't support tobacco companies. Buying something because your body tells you you have to isnt always supporting the desire to do it.
I also don't support Walmart because of their attitude towards workers, but sometimes it is the only place I can get what I need. And it is the only place my mom likes to shop. If I had my way those fuckers would go under. I'd prefer a place like Winco or Trader Joes but we don't have those places close to us.
Bull shit! They have alternatives to cigarettes. You could quit and still satisfy your addiction. You just rationalize your support for big tobacco. Every time you take a puff you support an evil corporation that kills people including yourself.
