And people regularly stick these devices to the sides of their heads for long periods of time.

I long ago solved the problem of mobile phones. Don't give out a number to anyone and you won't need a mobile phone. You can carry one around with you switched off for emergencies if you wish. I've never actually owned a mobile phone as such.

In the past I've used my husbands Nokia from 2001 to send text messages. I would keep it switched off otherwise and needed to charge the battery twice a year. It's somewhere in Germany though, I didn't bother bringing it with me.

Fuck rainbows and puppies, the evil 'private sector' has done a magnificent job of supplying me with a small portable computer that doubles as a phone. You of course are free to use cans and string if you wish. The fact that you use 'private sector' production to communicate your screed against the same is hilarious.
