I've been feeling extremely weird and shitty the last few days. I was putting it down to Emma being away, my depression preying on me, and personal matters I didn't handle very well.
But I've come to realise it's actually very likely the blood pressure pills I've been put on recently. I'm having other unusual side effects, one of which is my brain being even more foggy than usual, which stopped me figuring this out. Now Emma is back and we talked it through, I finally figured out that's what it is. I'm going to stop taking them, and hopefully all these weird things will stop.
I'm very sorry if I've been weird with anyone, I've not been myself. I still feel strange. I hope I'll be my proper self again in a few days.

I get the feeling they say it partly to try and distance themselves from the Catholic sex abuse scandal. Not that there's any point in attempting that, Protestants were at it too, it just wasn't as highly reported on.

Recently, it's probably said because of the Pope's recent comments that were nice to gay people.

Feeling thoroughly miserable. Nothing I do can cheer me up. I don't want to do anything, and I don't have the energy to anyway. I just have to grit my teeth and get through it, and hope the effect of these tablets starts to wear off tomorrow. And then hope underlying depression doesn't jump right in to take its place. It's only the people who love me that keep me going, and the effect it would have on them if I was not here. Otherwise I don't think I would.
Emma's off again tomorrow for another trip, I am very happy for her, but I'm going to miss her so much.
I feel weak, pathetic, useless and not worthy of anyone's time or attention. Over the last year or so I've felt fairly strong, like I have an outer shell that can withstand some punishment, even if my insides are hurting. Right now I feel thoroughly exposed.

Hopefully not taking the pills helps. See a doctor! You are NOT useless. Don't worry too much. You ARE worth people's time. Don't be too hard on yourself.
