I'm seeing a neurologist this morning. Last stop, there's nowhere to go after this. I'm not very optimistic. I've been punted from specialist to specialist, and this is the last stop. I've waited since June to see this guy and now I don't even want to go.

Neurology was supposed to be the first specialist, but since it was going to take so long, may as well see a bunch of other specialists in the meantime, amirite?

I'm not much a fan of the medical profession right now. At least I met my (very sizeable) deductible this year and don't have to pay for this one.

I'm feeling remarkably shitty today. Not sure why. Most everything in my life is going swimmingly apart from the usual hiccups here and there. Maybe it's because of the time change yesterday and now it gets dark at 5pm? Who knows. This feeling better go away soon, though.

(Most will have no idea what I'm talking about here. For now suffice it to say that I have been very ill for a little over a year and I'm just now getting answers and they have not been the best news. Nor the worst, but quite unwelcome.)

Tentatively confirmed the dx on the newer thing - with a possibility that it's an atypical form of migraine, which would be preferable to me. He prescribed some medication that *may* help either condition with a few more to try as well.

It's not why I was there, but he actually has some insights into the neuro issues I've had for six years that nobody else could get a handle on. More expensive tests ordered.

The latter is potentially great news, if a treatable/manageable condition is found. I had all but given up.

I found out I have a kidney stone.(again) Fortunately it's only 4 mm and should pass without any surgical intervention. At least that's a relief. It sucks that my strength trainng will likely be set back by at least 2 weeks. With how often I get them, I'm lucky I don't get addicted to the opiate painkillers they give me.
