A funny story.
Working in IT yonks ago, our terminals ran a Unix based entry screen for the floor lines.
Different Dept's logged into different areas of the system.

The shop floor logged in the manufacturing section to enter production.
For short we called it manufc.

I told a couple of poms on the floor that it stood for man united football club.
(from memory they were big Liverpool fans)
Boy, did they spit the dummy! Hehe
