Apparently the first one is not that concerning as it's forecasted to turn south (poor puna....again). but the second one is so close on it's heels, it's being pushed up, directly up into the north eastern face of the Big Island. I'm pretty much at the northern most tip.
No relatives, just my wife and 3yr old son.
There are several schools with gymnasiums and if things look really bad, people will probably be evacuated to them. But we're at 500' elevation so the ocean is no concern....but 100+mph winds on single wall sugar shacks is. My house is modern and hopefully solid enough....but a great many around here aren't.
