How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?

I've never seen a real wild one outside a zoo here in The UK. We apparently have some small ones if you go far out into the less intensely farmed country, but none so poisonous that they're considered a real danger.

The UK is such a tamed country though so we don't have much real "wildlife". Most countryside is farmland, especially in England.

There's tons of wildlife where i live. Snakes, birds, deer, all kinds of stuff.

But I mean like really scary stuff, we don't have dangerous predators like other countries do

We have some deer near me as well, I live by a nature reserve (which gets trashed by all the shitty chavs that live on the other side of it to me).

A pissed of badger or even a pissed off female pheasant can be pretty scary and dangerous Tongue

We've got plenty of wildlife down here, y'all come on over.

I saw this guy about two weeks ago, where my driveway enters the road. I thought it was a red-striped racer, but now think it's a variety of garter:

Deer, 'coons, 'possums, coyotes howling at night, eagles, the occasional fox or bobcat, and I've seen cougar tracks, but never seen the cat itself.

I could probably let the garter snakes go about their business with squirting them. There's actually no reason to. I don't see them very often and really they are quite harmless. If I see another large questionable snake right in front of my home again, though, I'm not going toe to toe with it (so to speak). I just can't.

If it happens again, I'll invest in one of those discreet-looking snake traps and put it against my front door. If I catch one, I'll go ahead and release it; no reason not to. I live in a populated area, but there's a fair amount of nature nearby (woods, lakes, ponds and such) I could probably cut through a few streets and be at one of several wooded or marshy areas  within five to ten minutes on foot.

Hell...maybe I'll just buy some nuts and earn the loyalty of some badass guard squirrels.

I feel brittle, lonely, and tired. I can't reach out to any of the people I want to reach out to in any meaningful way, and the ones I can reach out to have never felt like this. Their solutions are dismissive. There's writing to be done, but I can't fucking do it. I'm at a "low" point, I know it, but that doesn't stop me from feeling like my ribcage has been hollowed out and filled with lead weights, either.

Started therapy today, and it's like, why are we focusing on me, again? What use does that have? What value has there ever been, in giving me any time in the spotlight?

I'm unwell, but when you've spent as long as I have not allowing yourself to have goals beyond the immediate so as not to be a bother to anyone, your mental state ceases to matter to you. You're not healthy or unhealthy, you just are, and that can't be changed because you're not a person who changes. You're barely a person at all. It's like going through life without a sense of touch: if you can't even perceive the world changing when you interact with it, at what point do you give up trying?

And then I get told that I should be doing this for myself, not because others want me to. Like I'm going to suddenly see the value in doing that if I'm just told to enough.

I want to go home.

The scariest animal I've seen in the uk was a bull in the Welsh countryside.
I don't think I'd actually ever noticed how aggressive they are before.
It was like I could see anger in its eyes and it was thinking if this bitch comes on my field it's getting fucked to death by horns.
Oh and a small pack of some tough looking dogs followed me round near my house once, they looked like some breed of pitbull.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

From me too. As regards the "wanting it yourself" bit, that's something I've only recently learnt is important myself. I've a problem with emotional control, at times massively overreacting to small stuff or stuff that normally I'd brush off or piss and moan over then forget. Got me into a bit of trouble at work a while back, but it was only when I made myself go and get help over it that I started to better control myself.
