The staff, by design, is not here to stifle any opinion, no matter how odious. The community resopnded to that post. I am not sure people understand what kind of precedent it sets for the staff to start policing opinions. I understand, and I'm glad that opinions (no matter how vile) aren't policed around here, because that would get boring pretty quickly. But in that particular instance (with the video) I think it was pretty clear he was being intentionally inflammatory. That's all I'm saying. I know I'm not a staff member, and I appreciate ALL the hard work our wonderful staff do around here to keep AF running at top notch. Our mods are awesome. I would never mean to imply otherwise. I just felt in that particular case perhaps a little more could have been done, simply for the fact that he knew EXACTLY what he was doing when he posted it. Just my opinion. I have many, and most of them are bullshit, lol. [emoji39]

I get that. I don't remember if that post was reported, but just as a case study, we don't ever take just one post in a vacuum. Looking at that thread, Drich was active and had substantive discussion in the long conversation that ensued.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Behind it. Instead of going down, it went up.
