... mustering up the energy to cook dinner. Simple stuff, a grilled steak, some sauteed mushrooms, and French bread.

It's been a while since I've had a day this long.

Oh, my goodness. Sad

If I were there, I simply would not abide that; especially after your being out all day doing good deeds and such.
...on your day off, no less.

You having to wait to eat, would be unacceptable.
Unacceptable, dammit!

So tired. Getting back into this schedule after even just a long weekend is rough.

lol, "good deeds". Gave Chris a ride to the clinic, sure -- but most of my deeds consisted of cussing like a sonofabitch at the other drivers. Big Grin Diablo Cranky

Played some nice old guitars, too. Smile

But -- having you here would be wonderful, and I'd happily cook for you even after a day like today. Heart

Steak pie?  What is steak pie, and why is there steak at a bakery?  And what is Frey Bentos?!  LOL.  You're SO British!  [emoji38]

It was just a strip steak from Price Chopper that I seared and cooked up.  Easy.  Lazy.  [emoji39]

Still coughing like mad. But not like yesterday. Otherwise OK. Pretty good dental appointment.
