I'm sick and my boyfriend is really stressed out. Because I'm feeling so terrible, I can't do anything to help him and the stress is rubbing off on me.

For myself ... mixed bag. Pissed-off that those who should have more respect are treating me as insignificant -- but delighted that another who owes me nothing gives me so much.

Frustrated by the extra holiday weight I'm carrying, especially in the legs, and not quite sure what I'm prepared to do about it. All I know is that I have to do something.

Oh, and cabin fever. Have today off in lieu of New Year's Day, so all the shops are open and I hear the siren song of a distant coffee shop. Just going to head out, drive around, get a change of scenery, maybe wander through a bookstore.

Stiff and sore -- again -- following yesterday evening's hour of snow shovelling. Current temperature in Winnipeg at 10 a.m. is a balmy -31°C, and when it gets this cold I find it hard to get motivated to work on projects. There's stuff I want to do, dammit! *shakes fist*
