I'm sorry. You must not know what a burka is. Here:

Are you seriously comparing this to sunglasses, or even a scarf? What single distinguishing feature can you make out? It's impossible to even tell the gender, or approximate age of the wearer. There could be a bearded dude with 2 hooks for hands and a bucket of TNT taped to his nuts under there, for all we know.

Also - most people wearing sunglasses, hoods, or other garments obstructing their faces usually have no problem taking them off for the purpose of identification and if they refuse - they're immediately suspicious. Muslims on the other hand are likely to call upon their religious rights, in order to avoid being identified, making this quite problematic for law enforcement - just like in one of the examples I provided earlier.

Secular laws have to trump "religious beliefs" or else there is no law.

For anywhere that allows people to ignore security rules about face coverings on religious grounds, we need to bring in the Satanists again. They can walk into a bank, or through customs, with a Satan mask on or whatever.

Way to be a condescending ass, by the way.

Like I said before, you have to remove the idea of religion altogether from this. You don't have a religious right to hide your face if police ask. So let people wear burkas if they want and if the police ask them to reveal the face then they have to. Duh.

I suppose any precedence could be set. There is a woman in the US who now happily sports a collander on her head, in the photo of her driver's license, so anything is possible.   FSM Grin

And a great day that was.

In effect, satire was enshrined as a religion.... which is deliciously ironic!
