It's getting very good reviews. As I expected, it's not going to be a perfect masterpiece, but none of the films (nope, not even Empire, shut it) were perfect masterpieces. I'm hoping it plays it pretty safe and simple, gives us a few surprises along the way, and sets a solid foundation on which to bring the franchise into the 21st century proper - for realsies this time, not whatever the hell happened in '99-'05.

If you are going to have Ewoks, you need to do it right and showcase their beautiful singing voices with the necessary gravitas, and that is only possible in the grand finale.

It's disney there will be no grand finale, they'll just run the series into the ground like everything else.

Well, they've already got 8 and 9 planned plus three spin-offs in the works. So, yeah, we'll probably all get smothered to death by Star Wars sequels.
