What made you give up on Jesus?

To all the Christian members of the forum,

What was it that made you decide Christianity just wasn't worth it? What "proved" to you that God isn't real? I am still a Christian, just sort of a "Doubting Thomas" at times.

First, since you're talking abot giving up on Jesus and say christian members in the same breath - what is it? It should be abundantly clear, even for someone with limited intellectual capacities, that giving up on Jesus and being christian can't go hand in hand.

Also, it should be abundantly clear for anyone perusing these boards and instead of asking stupid questions, that there's usually a process involved. A rather long one for that matter. But ultimately it amounts to this. Unless you're a creationist idiot, it's pretty clear that humanity is only a link in a very long chain of earth's history. So, all the scripted gods don't make the least bit of sense. Unless they graduated from amoeba god to Dinosaur god, critter god, mammal god to human god.
