What was it that made you decide Christianity just wasn't worth it? What "proved" to you that God isn't real? I am still a Christian, just sort of a "Doubting Thomas" at times.
Thanks !
the lack of historical evidence to support his existence. not to mention a guy doing magic tricks and rising from the dead um
that sounds like a work of fiction.

I poed a bit earlier.
God at times makes little to no sense to me, but I still have Christian faith and am trying to sort it all out
This probably isn't the best place to sort anything out.

I was sent to church until the age of about 12 when I realised that what they were telling me made no sense and had no supporting evidence. I didn't give up on anything, I just found that there was nothing in the first place.

You DO realize, that it is perfectly possible for a woman to become pregnant without braking the hymen, right?
And I'm not even talking about taking a shot in the mouth and then spitting it onto the vagina, or anything involving felching - full intercourse and everything...
Here's some useful information about hymens, that might help you in the future, if you ever manage to get close to a p*ssy. You're welcome.
YES!
THAT IS MY POINT!!! That is why I posted a link that documents 50 such births in the last few decades
INTACT HYMEN= VIRGIN In That Time.
So when Marry Claimed to be a virgin and with child They Checked her Hymen. If it had not been intact She or Joseph would have been stoned.

Given the lack of medical information and technology in the time of Mary, I say, what proof is there that her hymen was indeed still intact?
Oh, and saying because it says so in the bible doesn't count as proof.

Nice entry for the New Gospel of Drich!
Other gospels, not that any of them are better than any fiction, say that Joseph, being too gentle to have Mary put down so brutally, decided to deal with her quietly on the presumed adultery. None of them, anywhere, suggest that Joseph could have been stoned for being cuckolded, nor has there ever been a historical account of any man being liable for this on account of what his wife did.

Oh, so the hymen is really like the tonsils are in the mouth?
A similar sort of vestigial organ, eh?
So much like a maw mouth the vagina is, but there really aren't any teeth in it too, as some fathers have warned their sons?
Mr. Hanky loves you!

I was raised a fundamentalist Christian. I was really serious about it. I spoke in tongues and prayed a lot and was in church a lot. I thought as a good Pentecostal, I ought to read the Bible. So I read the KJV cover-to-cover. I had read the KJV NT before, but not the OT. Then I read it cover-to-cover again in a modern English version to make sure I hadn't been confused by ye Olde English. What I read was so barbaric that it convinced me that a perfect and just ruler of the universe was in no way behind that document. It didn't cure me of being a theist, but I was no longer a Christian after that. I suppose I was an agnostic theist at that point, I still believed in a Creator, but didn't think anyone really knew much about it.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

From his "study."
Quote:“We examined the incidence of virgin pregnancy and birth based on self report of pregnancy and sexual debut, hypothesizing that individual and contextual factors may influence reporting,” wrote the researchers, led by Amy H. The earliest documents don't claim Mary was a virgin. The word 'almah' is used, which indicates a young woman regardless of whether or not she is a virgin. The word was later translated as 'virgin', but mistakenly so.

That happens a great deal in the buybull. Many words are grossly mistranslated, and mostly for the benefit of cherry pickers.
