SpaceX Lands Falcon First Stage

SpaceX Lands Falcon First Stage
They just showed it live from Cape Canaveral AF Station. Pretty neat seeing a trick like that with such a big-ass first stage. Hopefully it will be in reusable condition.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I just watched that as well. I couldn't stand all the hootin' and hollerin'. It felt like an MTV awards show. I'd have rather just seen the event in quietude. The video and associated telemetry and some C-SPANesque announcer. Having said that, what an amazing event! It may have been me, but the landing, while spot on, seemed a bit harsh. Like, much higher velocity than I would have expected.

Once again science advances the human experience.

This is great news. Soon humanity will explore other planets. How will people who convince themselves to pray in a particular direction pray in space I wonder?

Boru

I meant having humans on a planet other than the Earth. This has not happened yet. I should have been clearer.

Now, if they'd done this 15 years ago they could have called it the Millennium Falcon.

Useless bastards!
