Hi JBrentonK, glad you could join us.

(December 29, 2015 at 10:44 am)JBrentonK Wrote: Delicate is correct, and you are incorrect. The reason is as follows, and is quite simple and to the point:

In Christianity, both the atheist and the agnostic go to hell for their disbelief in God. This belief is also epistemologically verified, absolutely certain, and under no circumstances true under any other condition.

Also, this is the reason why atheists do not hold a valid epistemic viewpoint, and many, many other standard issues.

Similarly, it is the reason for abandoning atheism entirely.

I actually did not understand that reason. It does not address anything I presented, nor does it add anything new to enforce the conclusion.

This here doesn't make any sense either:

I begin to see why some people are calling you a poe... maybe you can clarify some of those issues above?

Beats reading through 50 pages of shite. Now I can dedicate my time to my pizza threads.

We've been told repeatedly for what feels like years that all our objections are wrong, without it ever being explained what claims we are even supposedly objecting to. I've given up trying to get any sense out of this person.

You are sincerely wrong then, and I would like a reference to your explanation so I can correct you.

When playing silly bugger with delicate, I believe the following quote from War Games is the best advice:

"A strange game, the only winning move is not to play."

That's why I've stopped indulging his victim complex.

With theists it's basically this, in creating their own personal Jesus. About 40.000 different versions.

Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?

Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
The choice is yours.

The more questions you ask, the more you realize that disagreement is inevitable, and communication of this disagreement, irrelevant.

I don't understand your metaphor.

I'm just a stupid atheist.  Naughty

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
