Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives is honestly the sort of film that can have a main character be Sasquatch and a princess get fucked by a catfish and still be so dull the inherent strangeness of these acts barely matters. But it all becomes worth it because this song (the only music in the entire film) is fucking awesome:

Listening to a playlist of the best of the Dave Matthews Band. I stayed away from him because he was popular, but I rather liked Under The Table And Dreaming.

Just discovered this group. The best way of describing the way it sounds like to me is a Mongolian analogue of a mix between Fairport Convention and Rammstein.

I have a friend from Mongolia that I play LOL with sometimes-- he's a middle or high school kid, I believe, but he's been on their version of Idol himself. He turned me on to a similar band a couple years ago. Maybe it was this one, I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't this song.

This was in my YouTube Subscriptions. Most of the video might not be much of a draw for those of us who aren't fans of Cigar Box Guitar videos, but then he takes out the drill... (fast-forward to 6:45 for the relevant scene):
And this one came in my dream last night. If any part of this usually resonates with me, it's the intro. But, for some reason, the chorus was playing as I was riding a bike down a hill, passing Disneyland. And to make it even more geographically weird, I had just escaped evil rednecks with thick Boston Southie accents. Yes, Boston rednecks. A bike ride away from Anaheim. From a guy who's been west of the Mississippi exactly once in his life (and then, it was in Vegas.)
