Christians: Is Judging Someone Breaking the Rules?

Christians: Is Judging Someone Breaking the Rules?
The Bible says "Judge not lest ye be judged", and that God is the only one that can judge. Is it breaking the rules to judge someone?

Quote:Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not lest ye be judged.

The above quote is sometime interpreted as:
Quote:Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not, that you be not judged.

Quote:John 7:24 Do not judge according to appearance.

Quote:1 Corinthians 5:12-13 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do not judge those who are inside. Those who are outside God judges.

You can find language to support almost any idea imaginable with that horseshit.

That's part of its charm. Any asshole can point to it and say "god says I', right."

No it's a fact of life.

There are different kinds of judging. You should examine the context to find out what if meant in each case. In the final quote you cited Paul clearly made such a distinction in pointing out that a church must judge its own members but leave judgment of outsiders to God.
His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

If your judgemental thoughts slip in then you can try to repress them but it's neither necessarily healthy nor necessarily possible for you to do so.

Well, I looked up a few verses which actually support judging:

Leviticus 19:15
"You shall do no injustice in judging a case; you shall not be partial to the poor or show a preference for the mighty, but in righteousness and according to the merits of the case judge your neighbor."
1 Corinthians 6:2-3
"Do you not know that the saints (the believers) will [one day] judge and govern the world? And if the world [itself] is to be judged and ruled by you, are you unworthy and incompetent to try [such petty matters] of the smallest courts of justice?
Do you not know also that we [Christians] are to judge the [very] angels and pronounce opinion between right and wrong [for them]? How much more then [as to] matters pertaining to this world and of this life only!"
John 7:24
"Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously."

(All verses from the Amplified Version)

That's why I hate the Bible. I mean, there are too many contradictions. God can't make up his mind!

You cant avoid judging people, even if you dont mean too.

I was behind a group of people at the post office recently they were dirty, they smelt their language was disgusting loud and in your face.

How do you avoid judging people like that?

I didnt know their life history, so I had no way of knowing why, but at some point they had decided to be scum and to go all out at scuminess.

I takes real effort to be as foul as they were.

I judged them as 'not dinner party material'

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

I realize it's almost impossible to judge someone. I am just wondering why the Bible says it's not okay to judge and that you'll be punished if you do it. I don't like hypocrites, and everything about rleigion is hypocritical.
