And I always thought stream of consciousness was how other writers stole my ideas before I could fully finish what I had written.

I'm not an English professor or anything, but your work reminds me of that particular style; the sentence structure and lack of traditional dialogue seems to give it a free flowing quality. It gives the reader direct engagement with the narrator.
