What the Hell is up with Poland?

Can some of you EU people tell me what is going on?

Is the new party in power paranoid? Is subversive media destabilizing the government? This all sounds a little to "Big Brother"!

Rightwingers sailing on the wave of Xenophobia. Same as Orban in Hungary. Only this party had been in power once before. It's called PIS, sadly without the second S, which would describe my feelings for it perfectly. This time they obviously mean business. They already attacked the supreme court, practically disabling it and now they're attacking the free press and with their absolute majority they will succeed. Oh, and they're catholic fanatics on the side. Led by Jarosław Kaczyński, surviving member of a despicable pair of twins.

Their are threats about sanctions coming from the EU commission. Not sure, if they don't row back at the last minute. And Poland is only one step in the direction of a radical right Europe. My own country may well follow after the next elections, if the polls are right about the radical rightwingers having a majority.

It's disgusting, really. I always was a fan of the EU, even though it never failed to dissapoint me with it's economical course. But if the idea of a united Europe dies at the hands of these rightwing shitstains, there's nothing left to be proud of or to support.
