Lamb is one of my favs. With a nice Italian red wine and mashed potatoes.
I'm not home but I have a leg of lamb ready to be cooked.
Sided with mashed potato, fried onions, and a couple of fried eggs, covered with brown onion gravy. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
And be careful if you plan to pull a sickie on Monday, you Aussies:

I love lamb, I'll skip on the beer, thanks.
I'll take the beer but not the lamb. You guys can have my lamb.
Boru, Beccs, NZ has the highest sheep to people ratio in the world.
What's the most common meat eaten there?

We eat lamb about once a week. If it were cheaper we'd eat it more often. We used to eat only Australian lamb because that was our only choice. I'm surrounded by sheep, but all the lamb was going to France. Now I can buy reasonably priced Oregon lamb and I do. When in England and the EU we eat more lamb because we like it and can afford to. This summer we'll be in Europe again, but France and especially England will be our only lamb rich destinations. The Netherlands, Germany., Austria, and The Czech Republic are pork and sausage heavy. They have good beer, coffee, and chocolate though.
A couple years ago in London we had lamb four nights out of six and it was heavenly. When we lived in Idaho, we ate affordable and very good lamb, thanks to the local Basque population. French and Spanish Basque country might make a very tasty trip, though I'm afraid I'm misspelling Basque. We will get to Australia eventually, and there we will eat lamb.

Personally, I mostly eat beef and chicken. I like lamb and really don't eat pork. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" |
